Lisa! You are amazing and WILL get through this! I was diagnosed in April 2012 and sounds like we are in the same boat...port, chemo and bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. You are NOT alone and CAN do this. It's not gonna be easy every day, but your little ones will keep you going. Mine were 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 when i was diagnosed so like you, i had a lot to live for. Just remember it's a year of your life. You'll get out of this bubble eventually and go on to live a normal life. It's hard to believe that i had my reconstruction surgery just one year ago! Life is back to normal. I feel fine, rockin a short hair cut that is actually a style now and have some great new boobies all my friends are jealous of, lol! Seriously - things have come to far. I'll be following your journey and sent my info to Kristie if you have any questions on ANY of it! I'd be happy to share my story and experiences with you! Sending you a ton of love and strength. You look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! You are amazing!!!!!! You can do this!!! Hugs!!!!!!

This cousin is rooting for you! I was shocked and so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but am glad that you have a great support team of doctors, family, and friends to help you through this. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Love the hair, by the way. Not many people can rock a short 'do, much less a mohawk!

You are beautiful! The twinkle in your eyes says it all! I heard a quote once that I think is appropriate... "If you're going through hell, keep going!" -Winston Churchill
Love and strength to you always!

the whole wave-hawk thing was awesome! Rosemary & I both said at the same time "Cindy Lou Who"! Seriously, your inner beauty now shines through so much more..hair is highly overrated. Hell, it covered it up! I love you, girl.

Lisa, you are an incredible example of courage, strength and positivity for your babies (and all of us)!! When you beat this, Luke and Liv will be much stronger people, too!! You're such a good Mom to show them that fear doesn't have to take over when something scary happens!! You continue to amaze me and inspire me. Love ya, girl!

Lisa..
Your grit and faith will pull you through every step of the way! You, Lisa, are a strong and beautiful woman. A teacher of what to do when adversity emerges----hold onto courage, hope, and let that beautiful attitude fight the battle. Love who you are to all of us!
